The Lamborghini Gallardo is an incredible sports car built by the Italian automotive manufacturer Lamborghini from 2003 to 2013. The model was named after a famous breed of fighting bull. It was Lamborghini's top selling model with 14,022 built throughout its production run. The 2004 Lamborghini Gallardo was a first generation model and had a MSRP of $165,900. However, the average sale price was approx. $185,000.00. It was powered with an even firing 4,993 cc (5.0 L) 90 degree V10 engine generating a maximum power output of 500 PS (368 kW; 493 hp) at 7500 rpm. The Gallardo was offered with two choices of transmission; a conventional six-speed manual transmission, and a six-speed electro-hydraulically actuated single-clutch automated manual transmission that Lamborghini called "E-gear". The "E-gear" transmission provides gear changes more quickly than could be achieved through a manual shift. The driver shifts up and down via paddles behind the steering wheel, but can also change to an automatic mode via the gear selector located in place of the gear shift lever.
The Lamborghini Gallardo is All Wheel Drive, which makes it an awesome handling sports car experience. The Gallardo has a great acceleration at 0-60 mph: 4.5 sec. It is the top selling Lamborghini in the history of the brand, and still to this day, a favorite car to drive in The Torrence Collection. In November of 2013, the last Gallardo was rolled off the production line. The Gallardo was replaced by the Huracan in 2014.
